  Contact lenses are thin ocular prosthetic devices that are employed directly on the surface of the  eyes . . Contact lenses are used by about 140 million people worldwide. They are developed to correct  refractive  errors and for some cosmetic or therapeutic reasons. The contact lens sticks to the tear fluid on the eye surface and moves naturally. Contact lens gives a clear cut peripheral vision and does not collect moisture and this makes them preferable for sports and other outdoor activities.
